Concern Nepal Educational Scholarship (CNES) Program

Nepal is categorized as one of the third world developing counties where most of the people are observed to be illiterate. Education is the foundation and the most essential perquisite for the development of any country. But unfortunately, in Nepal the literacy rate is only 51%. Various factors are responsible to create this gap of education. To name few of them are unstable political situation, social and cultural norms and values, barriers, gender disparity, lack of resources, lack of skills in proper utilization of the available resources, poor economic condition, etc. In addition to all this, a decade long conflict also attributed to a massive internal displacement of many families that affected children the most, depriving them from their rights to education, love and care. None of the children are responsible for poor economic background of the family or the country. But every family or the country is always responsible for the education and bright future of each and every child.

Concerning this reality and internalizing a need to bridge this gap in education, Concern Nepal (CN) has initiated various endeavors to provide quality education to as many children as possible. A part of the same endeavor is Concern Nepal Educational Scholarship (CNES) Program.

Concern Nepal Educational Scholarship (CNES) Program is a core part, the earliest program started by Concern Nepal (CN) incoordination with Holy Child Secondary School in the year 2008. The scholarship program provides scholarship for quality education to children who are intelligent, diligent, devoted and interested in studying but have a very poor economic background.
